I was wondering if any of you know a computer networking specialist who is blind. I am about to embark on this exact journey but do not want to waist money from the people who are helping me reach my goal. I get blind will be a hurdle but all that a side any one who is in this field please speak up. Thanks a million again in put is really needed.
I am looking for a reality check not a fluffy cloud answer to make this board post clear.
On what terms to you mean exactly? Computer networking is a wide field.
I was wondering at one time how realistic getting my network certifications would bee when looking for a job in networking.
their is a place in the states called lions world and they do the a+ and Microsoft server admin cirts. if your pretty screen reader savy you can take them online. The best thing I can suggest is to check out all your options and come up with a good toolbox of things that you can show people that you can do it.
I know who they are lol, I went there in 2005 and 2006.
The reality is that it is very possible if you are motivated. I've held Director level positions in IT for 10 years now. Just moved to Louisiana and landed another CIO position at an architecture firm. They deal with Auto CAD and revit and 3d moddling software. Most things are accessible and the things that aren't you learn to script or work your way around...
So, like all work for the blind, it depend on who you were working for, and the task you were asked.
